28 November, 2009 (Gettysburg, PA) – On a crystal clear fall day, I would normally be up flying, but due to strong winds, I had to make some alternate plans. One of the many place I have always wanted to visit and photograph was the Gettysburg National Military Park. I had studied the Civil War battle at Gettysburg back when I was a cadet in Army ROTC at George Mason University, but had never made the relatively short drive to Gettysburg to visit the battle ground. Well, the weather could not have been better to get some photography in at the battlefield.

Drive from the Washington DC area is fairly simple. From the Beltway, take I270 North to Frederick, MD. Then, take Route 15 North, which will take you straight to Gettysburg.
For more information on visiting the Gettysburg National Military Park, check out the National Park Service web site at http://www.nps.gov/gett/index.htm.
