14 February 2010 (Freeway Airport, Bowie, MD) – This winter has been unusually harsh. In less than 7 days, starting Friday, 5 February, the Washington DC area had over 2 feet of snow. The two storms that hit the area have soo much snow that it will take a week or two for things to return to normal. One area that impacted me was at Freeway, where after only a few days after the storms, only the main runway, a few aircraft and the northern part of the taxi way had been cleared.

I ventured out to Freeway hoping that may be I could get some flying time. As it worked out, it was not to be, but it was an opportunity to do some photography. All the photographs were taken using just a pocket digital camera.
