31 December 2010 (Silver Spring, MD) – Another year has come to an end. In 2010, I was able to get out and do the type of photography I love doing, namely involving the use of my passport. For me, there were two highlights, the first being attending and photographing my first Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monza, Italy. I could not have asked for better weather and for a first experience, attending the Italian Grand Prix is a great place to start. It wasn’t until after the race that I realized that I did not cover enough of Milan and when I travel to Barcelona in 2011 to attend the Spanish Grand Prix, will find a better balance between photographing race related activities at the track and photographing the host city.

The second highlight of the year was my return to Paris. I did not get all that I wanted accomplish done due to the weather, but it I made the most of things and got some really good photographs out of it all. I look forward to returning to Paris in the fall of 2011 to pick up where I left and hope that the weather plays nice.

Other adventures in 2010 were closer to home, involving a trip to Indiana, PA to visit pastures past and it is easy to forget that Washington has a lot to offer as well for any photographer. Not very far from DC are the beaches and shore front along the Eastern Shore in Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.  And lets not forget the major weather event that hit the area in February, effectively shutting the DC area down for four days, the Blizzard of 2010.
