25 March 2011 (Amsterdam) – This spring, I decided to venture off to Amsterdam for a mini vacation. I normally travel on Air France, going through Paris, but several years ago, KLM and Air France merged into one company, so I was able to secure a direct flight on KLM and still earn miles to my Flying Blue Air Miles account.
I traveled on one of KLM’s Airbus A330-200 aircraft. This would actually be my first time on an Airbus A330, let alone on an airbus aircraft going across the Atlantic. All my previous experiences on Airbus aircraft had been on the A320 series of aircraft.
Like my previous experiences on Airbus aircraft, I felt roomier on the A330 than I had experienced on B777 and B747 aircraft. And it seemed that the A330 was a bit quieter in the cabin than what I had experienced on Boeing aircraft.
Below are images taken during the flight, namely during departure from IAD and arrival to AMS.
